Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Norberto Arruda took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Salgado in the 4th minute of play forced Costaneira's goalkeeper Silvinho de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Niterói FC's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Arruda came free, but Artur Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Dias having to interfere. Robinho Faria hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Vinícius Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho de Mendonça having to interfere. Vinícius Salgado struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Silvinho de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niterói FC. When Vinícius Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Niterói FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinícius Salgado couldn't finish the play. Norberto Arruda was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Costaneira's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Erik Queirozs short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Artur Dias to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Costaneira's zone, Vinícius Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvinho de Mendonça came out of the goal and Vinícius Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vinícius Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho de Mendonça having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 51 minutes of play, Costaneira's Claudinho França made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artur Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vinícius Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Silvinho de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 58 minutes, Vinícius Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Niterói FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Niterói FC's Robinho Faria got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Norberto Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Artur Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Queiroz in the 67th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Niterói FC got a freekick which was hit by Robinho Faria. After 69 minutes, Erik Queiroz made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Niterói FC's Artur Dias tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Norberto Arruda succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. 76 minutes into the match, Erik Queiroz notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Niterói FC's Artur Dias. Artur Dias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Silvinho de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitinho Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Silvinho de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Lira in the 83rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Erik Queiroz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Dias was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Costaneira's Norberto Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Dias came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Costaneira's Erik Queiroz. But to his dismay, Erik Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 94th minute, Léo do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costaneira's Silvinho de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Miranda in the 97th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Costaneira had won after a very even match.
