In the 31st minute Almir Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Tigers's Luiz Fabiano Berger shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sílvio Luiz Pontes but with some difficulty. After 36 minutes, Falcão Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seberi and the The Tigers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sílvio Luiz Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Maia in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, The Tigers's Durval Lima got control of the ball when Benê Marquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The The Tigers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.
