In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seberi's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Pontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benê Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho de Mendonça having to interfere. Benê Marquez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Silvinho de Mendonça when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Costaneira's zone, Benê Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvinho de Mendonça came out of the goal and Benê Marquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Costaneira's Erik Queiroz in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Seberi's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Seberi getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Samuca Novaes hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Luiz Eduardo Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvinho de Mendonça was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The referee ignored Costaneira's protests and gave Hernani do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. Seberi's Sidnei Araújo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Costaneira. In the 83rd minute, Benê Marquez made a precise shot to the right of Silvinho de Mendonça. Costaneira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 88th minute, Luiz Eduardo Zanette ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvinho de Mendonça was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
