Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Acácio Nunes made the kick off and thus started the match. Acácio Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Osvaldo Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th match minute, Itumbiara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Guilherme Valle to maneuver through the defense. Gugu Alves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Osvaldo Rezende made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leopoldo de Lara during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Itumbiara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo de Lara to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th match minute, Papaokena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Quaresma to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acácio Nunes in the 19th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Acácio Nunes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Osvaldo Rezende, passed just outside the right post. When Kiko Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Papaokena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kiko Teixeira couldn't finish the play. When Papaokena's Kiko Teixeira in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itumbiara EC's goalie prevented a goal. Acácio Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Itumbiara EC's Thomás Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osvaldo Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Acácio Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Rezende having to interfere. Kiko Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Valério Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papaokena. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinei Lopes during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Papaokena's Dinei Lopes got a free kick in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dida Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. When Gugu Alves came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Itumbiara EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gugu Alves couldn't finish the play. Dida Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Gugu Alves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldo Rezende. Papaokena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gugu Alves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 72nd minute, Dida Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Papaokena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Gugu Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. If Acácio Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acácio Nunes in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Gugu Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itumbiara EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Acácio Nunes got free in front of the goal in the 93rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Osvaldo Rezende was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Kiko Teixeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valério Oliveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kiko Teixeira ran back to his position shaking his head. The Papaokena players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Itumbiara EC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
