The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Yuri Mangueira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Happy Esporte Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Yuri Mangueira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, urubuzada futebol clube's Sebastião Saldanha got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tadeu de Souza. Luís Guilherme Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Tadeu de Souza made a huge save. Jano Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Belchior Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Claudinei Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Délio de Lima during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raúl de Lara was the one to do the kick off. If Belchior Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evandro Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evandro Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Happy Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Luz. After 57 played minutes, urubuzada futebol clube's Sebastião Saldanha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tadeu de Souza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in urubuzada futebol clube reached it. Tadeu de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Miranda in the 69th minute of play. With a little luck, urubuzada futebol clube's Claudinei Motta got control of the ball when Belchior Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Luís Guilherme Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeu de Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When Belchior Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Happy Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belchior Paranaense couldn't finish the play. After 90 played minutes Happy Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Cássio da Fonseca. After having played for 93 minutes, Jano Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
