Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Amílton Pinheiro kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Tricolor da VG-MT's goal looked a bit too open when David Vergílio came free, but Geovânio Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 5 minutes into the game, Amílton Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vertice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tricolor da VG-MT the free kick. Amílton Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Kléberson Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil Almeida acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hortêncio Goiano. After 17 minutes, Betinho Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vertice and the Tricolor da VG-MT players grew even worse after the yellow card. Betinho Amaral hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Gil Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléberson Quirino in the 23rd minute of play. When Natanael Freire fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tricolor da VG-MT's protests and gave Natanael Freire a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27thth minute of the game Amílton Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tricolor da VG-MT's Geovânio Leal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Amílton Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovânio Leal came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vertice's David Vergílio. But to his dismay, David Vergílio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Geovânio Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílton Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Kléberson Quirino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kléberson Quirino to strike the kick off in the second half. Tricolor da VG-MT's Geovânio Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílton Pinheiro in the 51st minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Geovânio Leal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 59thth minute of the game Amílton Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tricolor da VG-MT's Geovânio Leal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geovânio Leal was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Amílton Pinheiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amílton Pinheiro really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Amílton Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Leal having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, David Vergílio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovânio Leal. Tricolor da VG-MT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Vergílio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a rather tough play, Tricolor da VG-MT's Elano Goiano got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Artur do Valle shot from long distance in the 73rd minute, but Geovânio Leal was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. If David Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vertice had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
