Duda de Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Aílton Recife recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 8 in the game by Aílton Recife from a close distance when the talented Ismael Arruda managed to make a qualified save. Cabra SS's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duda de Amorim in the 13th minute of play forced Cabra SS's goalkeeper Ismael Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Duda de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th minute, José Augusto Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 21 minutes, Duda de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acudinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duda de Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ismael Arruda was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Duda de Amorim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Duda de Amorim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Norberto Vieira hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Rodolfo do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Cabra SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo do Vale couldn't finish the play. Aílton Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Arruda having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duda de Amorim in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Arruda saved Cabra SS from getting behind. If Aílton Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duda de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Arruda having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When Acudinho's Duda de Amorim in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cabra SS's goalie prevented a goal. José Augusto Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Ulysses Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo do Vale in the 57th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Aílton Recife notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Cabra SS's Ismael Arruda. Ismael Arruda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute Duda de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Duda de Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ismael Arruda was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. After having played for 79 minutes, Aílton Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
