A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Araujos's Erasmo Prata broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 16 minutes, Emanuel Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Missoes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Jacinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Vargas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ramiro Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Araujos's Ramiro Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Vargas in the 20th minute of play. Elano de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho Camargo having to interfere. Cristiano Vargas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramiro Souza having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Araujos's zone, Cristiano Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Souza came out of the goal and Cristiano Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dorival Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Adrianinho Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elano de Alcântara made a kick off. A collision led to Missoes getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Edu Donato hit a great ball. If Fábio Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Missoes's goalkeeper Adrianinho Camargo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorival Cordeiro. If Fábio Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 62nd minute, Cristiano Vargas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramiro Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 67th minute, Fábio Furtado made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Souza. Araujos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When Missoes's Cristiano Vargas in 76 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ramiro Souza guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorival Cordeiro got free with Adrianinho Camargo in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Fábio Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramiro Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Missoes's Fábio Furtado in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Araujos's goalie prevented a goal.
