Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Danilo Monteiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Danilo Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tranqueira SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidnei Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sidnei Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Monteiro in the 4th minute of the match. Sidnei Montenegro came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Tranqueira SS's Samuca Pombal. But to his dismay, Samuca Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With his leg Cícero Rosado managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Taciua's Valdir Nóbrega fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 13th minute Samuca Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidnei Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, one of Tranqueira SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tranqueira SS. Frank Paraibano hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25thth minute of the game Danilo Monteiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taciua's Sidnei Montenegro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cícero Rosado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugênio Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tranqueira SS's zone, Eugênio Novaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Rosado came out of the goal and Eugênio Novaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cícero Rosado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdir Nóbrega in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Taciua booed when Tranqueira SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Taciua's Adalberto Bezerra tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Eugênio Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidnei Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Monteiro in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Eugênio Novaes made the kick off in the second half. Samuca Pombals short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Sidnei Montenegro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cícero Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Samuca Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Danilo Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 60 minutes into the match, Samuca Pombal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sidnei Montenegro. Taciua's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuca Pombal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Tranqueira SS's Samuca Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuca Pombal got free with Sidnei Montenegro in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Germano Magalhães during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th minute, Germano Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danilo Monteiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 75th minute. Tranqueira SS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Taciua getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Germano Magalhães hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Eugênio Novaes made a precise shot to the right of Cícero Rosado. Tranqueira SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 87 minutes into the match, Taciua's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Monteiro came free, but Sidnei Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Danilo Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidnei Montenegro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 97th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tranqueira SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
