After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Alexsandro Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Meião FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexsandro Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltazar Meirelles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, 13 DE MAIO F.C.'s Cristiano Ribeiro got a free kick in the 10th minute. Inter de Meião FC's Rumen Kabakchiev came free and shot a quick shot against goal 13 minutes in the game, fortunately Baltazar Meirelles had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 14 minutes into the match, Inter de Meião FC's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Leão came free, but Ciro Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Adalmo Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute Rumen Kabakchiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Telmo Leão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ciro Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to 13 DE MAIO F.C. getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Helge Axelsson hit a great ball. 13 DE MAIO F.C.'s Baltazar Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalmo Breckenfeld in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Rumen Kabakchiev recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Baltazar Meirelles. Rumen Kabakchiev showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Rumen Kabakchiev notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of 13 DE MAIO F.C.'s Baltazar Meirelles. Baltazar Meirelles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 39 minutes into the match, 13 DE MAIO F.C.'s Telmo Leão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciro Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Silvinho de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 46 minutes into the match, Silvinho de Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciro Nascimento. Inter de Meião FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvinho de Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Rumen Kabakchiev made the kick off in the second half. Giuseppe Paraíba lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Inter de Meião FC a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rumen Kabakchiev, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of 13 DE MAIO F.C.'s Baltazar Meirelles. 3-2. 13 DE MAIO F.C.'s Baltazar Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Fernandes in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Inter de Meião FC's Johnny Dias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baltazar Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The supporters of Inter de Meião FC booed when 13 DE MAIO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Inter de Meião FC had played much better football throughout.
