Baltazar Meirelles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Baltazar Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Caxanga's zone, Telmo Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elano Mendes came out of the goal and Telmo Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oswaldo Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Telmo Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 13 DE MAIO F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Telmo Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulysses Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Silvinho de Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Elano Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 13 DE MAIO F.C.. After 32 minutes, Anderson Prado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caxanga and the 13 DE MAIO F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Caxanga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson Prado to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, 13 DE MAIO F.C.'s Cléberson Quintal got a free kick in the 34th minute. Baltazar Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Senna in the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Guilherme Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Telmo Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elano Mendes having to make a save. Elano Mendes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but José Maranhense showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 42 minute of play. Cristiano Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Telmo Leão made the kick off in the second half. Elano Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Leão in the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, Patrick Hoffmann recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Baltazar Meirelles. Patrick Hoffmann showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. 79 minutes into the match, 13 DE MAIO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Hoffmann came free, but Baltazar Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nando Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Telmo Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elano Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Leão in the 88th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, José Maranhense notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Caxanga's Elano Mendes. Elano Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 96 minutes into the match, 13 DE MAIO F.C.'s Telmo Leão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elano Mendes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 97 minutes, Róbson de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caxanga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbson de Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 DE MAIO F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
