Chicão Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 21 minutes, Jorginho Cosme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Port Charlotte FC and the Jarinu EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Geovânio Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Chicão Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Port Charlotte FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Cosme. In the 27th minute, Claudinei Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovânio Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Rubinho Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geovânio Vander did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Chicão Aguiar 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geovânio Vander to strike the kick off in the second half. If Geovânio Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Port Charlotte FC's zone, Durval Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chicão Aguiar came out of the goal and Durval Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Freitas in the 62nd minute of play forced Jarinu EC's goalkeeper Manolo Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes Jarinu EC got a freekick which was hit by Váldson Valle. In the 77th minute, Vicente de Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Durval Koehler scored 3-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chicão Aguiar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rubinho Arruda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Manolo Xavier made a huge save. 92 minutes into the game, Eugênio Hames was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jarinu EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Port Charlotte FC the free kick. In the 93rd minute of the match Waldir Velasco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manolo Xavier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rubinho Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
