Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Geovânio Vander started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Geovânio Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 8 minutes of play, Jarinu EC's Durval Koehler made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wanderson Miranda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wanderson Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Vander in the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Joélson Barral notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Jarinu EC's Manolo Xavier. Manolo Xavier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leandro Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Wanderson Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Koehler in the 30th minute of play. Durval Koehler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wanderson Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Zé Carlos Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afligidos's Wanderson Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovânio Vander in the 34th minute of play. Manolo Xavier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joélson Barral in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio Vander in the 39th minute of play forced Afligidos's goalkeeper Wanderson Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afligidos's Wanderson Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovânio Vander in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Durval Koehler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Wanderson Miranda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joélson Barral was the one to do the kick off. Durval Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Wanderson Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Geovânio Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denílson Marinho hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Durval Koehler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joélson Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manolo Xavier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. If Joélson Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovânio Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Afligidos's Nilmar Ramos got a free kick in the 77th minute. Eugênio Hames kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurinho Mendonça during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Afligidos getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Maurinho Mendonça hit a great ball. Wanderson Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Durval Koehler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wanderson Miranda. Afligidos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durval Koehler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 99th minute, Geovânio Vander made a precise shot to the right of Wanderson Miranda. Afligidos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. The Jarinu EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jarinu EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
