Pedrinho Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joélson Nóbrega in the 6th minute of play. Basílio Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murillo Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mateus Eger might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedrinho Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateus Eger ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th match minute, Sertaosinho SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Mello to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateus Eger got free with Pedrinho Guimarães in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mateus Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Pedrinho Guimarães made a huge save. When Sertaosinho SC's Joélson Nóbrega in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 33rd match minute, Rubineia AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Rubineia AD booed when Sertaosinho SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guto Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Murillo Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Rubineia AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murillo Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rubineia AD's goalkeeper Pedrinho Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rubineia AD were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Sertaosinho SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Isaltino Passos took the corner. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basílio Rodrigues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Basílio Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sidnei da Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Basílio Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sidnei da Cunha was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Pedrinho Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateus Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Guimarães having to interfere. Basílio Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Sidnei da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mateus Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Basílio Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Rubineia AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. Rubineia AD's Basílio Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Mateus Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sertaosinho SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateus Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrinho Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Kauan Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sertaosinho SC's protests and gave Kauan Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 played minutes Sertaosinho SC got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Gomes. Murillo Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Rodrigues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sidnei da Cunha having to make a save. Mateus Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rubineia AD walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
