Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Patrício Simões made the kick off which started today's match. When Simão Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canto's protests and gave Simão Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sertaosinho SC booed when Canto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaltino Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sidnei da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrício Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sertaosinho SC booed when Canto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Canto's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Eger came free, but Douglas da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Mateus Eger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Douglas da Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 21st minute, Joélson Nóbrega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute, Patrício Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidnei da Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Simão Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Canto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Freitas couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrício Simões in the 30th minute of play forced Sertaosinho SC's goalkeeper Sidnei da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sertaosinho SC's Joélson Nóbrega got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th play minute Patrício Simões came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sidnei da Cunha. 2-1. Isaltino Cearense took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sidnei da Cunha. Sertaosinho SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joélson Nóbrega was the one to do the kick off. Vinícius Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrício Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidnei da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tales Velasco in the 55th minute of the match. If Joélson Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Mateus Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Nóbrega in the 64th minute of the match. Sidnei da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrício Simões in the 66th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrício Simões in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidnei da Cunha saved Sertaosinho SC from getting behind. When Canto's Patrício Simões in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sertaosinho SC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Vinícius Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sidnei da Cunha came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Canto's Patrício Simões. But to his dismay, Patrício Simões quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 79th minute, Fábio Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinícius Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Patrício Simões had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sidnei da Cunha. Sertaosinho SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrício Simões was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Canto's Duda Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Canto were the better team. Canto's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
