Toledos FC's Gil Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Sousa in the 21st minute of play. If Tony Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gil Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Tony Batista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute Antônio Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Ricardo de Alcântara put in a rough tackle. Toledos FC:s Gil Donatello showed great skill when he stopped Walmir Cabral:s penalty. In the 35th minute, Walmir Cabral made a precise shot to the right of Gil Donatello. Toledos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Tony Batista sped through Toledos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gil Donatello. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tony Batista got free with Gil Donatello in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Pedro Pinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tony Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tony Batista in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gil Donatello saved Toledos FC from getting behind. Rodrigo Mello hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Toledos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Batista came free, but Gil Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Simão Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gil Donatello was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Paiva during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Uacurizal getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Simão Paiva hit a great ball. Dé Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes, Uacurizal's Walmir Cabral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gil Donatello came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Uacurizal reached it. In the 71st match minute, Toledos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Mello to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, José Pedro Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tony Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antônio Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gil Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Batista in the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Jorginho Reis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedrão de Salles skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Uacurizal getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Antônio Carlos Abraão hit a great ball. Toledos FC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 97th minute of the game, when Jorginho Reis after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Uacurizal's goal. Jorginho Reis was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Uacurizal's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
