After 3 minutes of play, Rajadinha AD's Júnior Damião made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Trevisan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rajadinha AD's Rubinho Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Ramalho in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Campo Grande F.C.'s goalkeeper Júlio Trevisan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Júnior Damião. Júnior Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Trevisan having to interfere. Pedro Luiz Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Rubinho Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Rajadinha AD a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ian Ramos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Campo Grande F.C.'s Júlio Trevisan. 2-1. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Rajadinha AD's Carlos Eduardo Jacinto in the 33rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Júlio Trevisan was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Campo Grande F.C. through an amazing save. 36 minutes into the game, Júnior Damião recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Júlio Trevisan. Júnior Damião showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Júlio Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Eduardo Jacinto in the 43rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Campo Grande F.C.'s zone, Carlos Eduardo Jacinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Trevisan came out of the goal and Carlos Eduardo Jacinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Luiz Arantes to make the kick off. Pedro Luiz Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rubinho Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leopoldo Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Campo Grande F.C.'s zone, Júnior Damião stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Trevisan came out of the goal and Júnior Damião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Carlos Eduardo Jacinto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Trevisan was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Damião in the 64th minute of play forced Campo Grande F.C.'s goalkeeper Júlio Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Rubinho Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campo Grande F.C.. The supporters of Rajadinha AD booed when Campo Grande F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rajadinha AD's Ian Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júnior Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Júlio Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 88 minutes into the game, when Marquinhos Prata put in a rough tackle. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rajadinha AD! Aílton Eger shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Rajadinha AD's Rubinho Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Rajadinha AD from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Arantes in the 94th minute of play forced Rajadinha AD's goalkeeper Rubinho Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júnior Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Júlio Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Campo Grande F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 98 minutes, Júnior Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rajadinha AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rajadinha AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
