After 3 played minutes Apuires SC got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Monteiro. Fernandão da Silva struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Carlos Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apuires SC. In the 7th minute, Naldo Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th minute of the match Cauã Alvarenga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edson Matos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Giuseppe Perez struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Carlos Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apuires SC. Carlos Marques was a little too slow when Fernandão da Silva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Apuires SC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Franklin Monteiro hit a great ball. In the 20th minute of the match Afonsinho Hoffmann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edson Matos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fernandão da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Apuires SC booed when Laginhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apuires SC's Fernandão da Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Laginhas booed when Apuires SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Naldo Lago scored 1-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edson Matos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandão da Silva in the 47th minute of the match.

Carlos Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernandão da Silva went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Franklin Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Laginhas's Afonsinho Hoffmann got a free kick in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Laginhas's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Perez came free, but Carlos Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giuseppe Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Carlos Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Giuseppe Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandão da Silva in the 83rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Laginhas's Aírton Velasco got a free kick in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Perez in the 90th minute of play forced Laginhas's goalkeeper Carlos Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naldo Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Augusto Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Naldo Lago got free with Edson Matos in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edson Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Lago in the 95th minute of play. Apuires SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
