Renato da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Ceresso having to interfere. Samuca Favoretto's late challenge caught a Cacatua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuca Favoretto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, Ruilandia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Cacatua's Osvaldo Messias tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ruilandia EC's Samuca Favoretto got a free kick in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Cacatua's Osvaldo Messias broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cacatua's goalkeeper Ronaldão Ceresso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco Bueno in the 25th minute of play forced Cacatua's goalkeeper Ronaldão Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Hugo Ferraz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramón Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hortêncio Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Cacatua's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Bueno came free, but Ronaldão Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldão Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Bueno in the 46th minute of play. If Renato da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Renato da Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Deivid Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cacatua's Hugo Ferraz got a free kick in the 55th minute. Ronaldão Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato da Fonseca in the 61st minute of play. Caco Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ronaldão Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato da Fonseca in the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Caco Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Renato da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hortêncio Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deivid Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, Deivid Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruilandia EC's Hortêncio Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Silveira in the 92nd minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ruilandia EC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
