Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Roger Rodrigues took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, one of dorizonense:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Váldson Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavinho Cardoso in the 16th minute of the match. Dadá Salgado hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, dorizonense's goal looked a bit too open when Renatinho Esteves came free, but Váldson Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Roger Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger Rodrigues in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Maia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruilandia EC's Hortêncio Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Salgado in the 25th minute of play. Hortêncio Maia was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Roger Rodrigues capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roger Rodrigues really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Hortêncio Maia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Ruilandia EC's Bruninho de Azevedo got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37thth minute of the game Roger Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ruilandia EC's Hortêncio Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bruninho de Azevedo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Renatinho Esteves made a precise shot to the right of Váldson Varela. dorizonense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Renatinho Esteves made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Ruilandia EC were awarded a corner. Hílton Martins went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Felippe de Amorim almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but dorizonense's Váldson Varela did a great save. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruilandia EC's goalkeeper Hortêncio Maia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 58th minute Bruninho de Azevedo suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. When Elói da Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored dorizonense's protests and gave Elói da Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ruilandia EC booed when dorizonense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cipriano Cearense in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio Maia saved Ruilandia EC from getting behind. If Dadá Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Cipriano Cearense sped through Ruilandia EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hortêncio Maia. If Cipriano Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Custódio Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renato da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Váldson Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ruilandia EC. Renato da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Váldson Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
