After having played for 13 minutes, Celso Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pratigipe EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edu Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Hames, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serginho Siqueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Cláudio Soares made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Natã Hames got free with Edu Goiano in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celso Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Goiano having to interfere. Cláudio Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmeiras. When the referee blew the final whistle, Palmeiras could leave the field as winners, despite Pratigipe EC having more of the ball for most of the match.
