Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmeirinhas's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcel de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Luiz Eduardo Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horácio Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 14 played minutes Palmeirinhas got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho de Medeiros. In the 18th minute, Rodriguinho Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 22 minutes, Vágner Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaperiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vágner Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafinha de Almeida in the 28th minute of play forced Itaperiu's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Alagoano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Palmeirinhas's Rafinha de Almeida slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sílvio Luiz Alagoano. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Marcel de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itaperiu's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel de Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Eduardo Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Itaperiu defense, Váldson Paraibano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sílvio Luiz Alagoano. The Itaperiu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Luiz Alagoano should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the match, José Augusto Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Luiz Alagoano. Itaperiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Augusto Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Sílvio Luiz Alagoano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oséas Meireles in the 45th minute. The supporters of Palmeirinhas booed when Itaperiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafinha de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz Alagoano having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vágner Gaúcho to strike the kick off in the second half. Sílvio Luiz Alagoano came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Palmeirinhas's Oséas Meireles. But to his dismay, Oséas Meireles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Igor Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itaperiu's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Eduardo Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 58 minutes, Vágner Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sílvio Luiz Alagoano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 71 minutes into the match, Palmeirinhas's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Freire. Marcel de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 minutes, Váldson Paraibano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmeirinhas and the Itaperiu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes Palmeirinhas got a freekick which was hit by Váldson Paraibano. In the 85th minute Geovanni Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Itaperiu getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Horácio Freire hit a great ball. Miguel Ortiz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sílvio Luiz Alagoano. Itaperiu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With 90 minutes on the clock, Ronaldinho Zanette commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Itaperiu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palmeirinhas:s goal. Sílvio Luiz Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséas Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Palmeirinhas were victorious despite being under pressure from Itaperiu for much of the match.
