Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gilson Munhoz got the match started through his kick off. Jacinto Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Munhoz in the 3rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Benê Salgado put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Zé Carlos Vergílio. With a little luck, Resplendor's Jacinto Mendes got control of the ball when Emerson Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Benê Salgado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Zé Carlos Vergílio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Carlos Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Zé Carlos Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benê Salgado in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Salgado in the 42nd minute of play forced F.C.Expressinho's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to F.C.Expressinho getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ramón Cabral hit a great ball. Zé Carlos Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benê Salgado in the 45th minute of play. Emerson Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jacinto Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dino Porto was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Resplendor's Dino Porto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Carlos Vergílio. That made the score 0-4 after 58 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Gilson Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C.Expressinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilson Munhoz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hélio Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hélio Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, F.C.Expressinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Gilson Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Mendes having to interfere. Zé Carlos Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Luís Gustavo Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C.Expressinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Gustavo Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. F.C.Expressinho's Zé Carlos Vergílio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save F.C.Expressinho from getting a goal against them. Emerson Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Resplendor had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
