In the 6th match minute, Darcilena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Vergílio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernão Proença. Darcilena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vivaldo Vergílio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Mazinho Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darcilena's Anselmo Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernão Proença didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vivaldo Vergílio went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute, Vivaldo Vergílio made a precise shot to the right of Fernão Proença. Darcilena's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 37 minutes into the match, Jonathan de Medeiros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tiago Gabriel Mangueira, 1-3. Fernão Proença didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vivaldo Vergílio went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 46 minutes into the game, Hernani Mumbach threw the ball into play from the sideline. Philipps FC's Per-Filip Sæle quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 46 played minutes Philipps FC got a freekick which was hit by Per-Filip Sæle. The Darcilena players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Philipps FC were winning 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Germano Pernambucano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Vivaldo Vergílio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Philipps FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vivaldo Vergílio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernão Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 55 minutes, Anselmo Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Darcilena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Philipps FC's Fernão Proença threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vivaldo Vergílio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 60th minute, Philipps FC's Vivaldo Vergílio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernão Proença. Fernão Proença yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. In the 64th minute, Philipps FC's Mazinho Dantas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. Fernão Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Arce in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Vergílio in the 76th minute of play forced Darcilena's goalkeeper Fernão Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mazinho Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, Vivaldo Vergílio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fernão Proença. Vivaldo Vergílio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. Germano Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Mangueira having to interfere. Vivaldo Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Philipps FC's Vivaldo Vergílio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-9. The Darcilena fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Philipps FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
