Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomás Mazza took the kick off in the first half of the match. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Benedito Prado put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jânio Lira. In the 8th minute, Tomás Mazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fiuza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 11 minutes of play, Fiuza's Tomás Mazza made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jânio Lira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in AA Cedro's zone, Benedito Prado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jânio Lira came out of the goal and Benedito Prado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jânio Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Mazza in the 20th minute of the match. Emerson Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Benedito Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Lira having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, AA Cedro's goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Prado came free, but Jânio Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jânio Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Benedito Prado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jânio Lira was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Edmundo Arruda hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. AA Cedro's Wilian Salgado shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by José Carlos Salgado but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Mazza in the 39th minute of play forced AA Cedro's goalkeeper Jânio Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AA Cedro's Jânio Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Prado in the 43rd minute of play. When Tomás Mazza came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Fiuza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Mazza couldn't finish the play. After the first half Fiuza were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Xavier made a kick off. Jânio Lira made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Benedito Prado sent off a good shot on target. AA Cedro's Tomás Xavier got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of AA Cedro booed when Fiuza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jânio Lira was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Tomás Mazza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomás Mazza really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Fiuza's José Carlos Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Loyola in the 70th minute of play. Jânio Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Valério da Cunha's late challenge caught a AA Cedro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valério da Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Fiuza's Valério da Cunha got a free kick in the 79th minute. Jânio Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Jânio Lira managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Fiuza's Benedito Prado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benedito Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Lira having to interfere. The Fiuza supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fiuza would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
