Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After 2 minutes, Oswaldo Sergipano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taim and the Estrela Vermelha players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Taim getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Oswaldo Sergipano hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Manoel Salgado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adilson Vale was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. In the 6th minute, one of Taim:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Taim. Jonathan Arantes hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Adilson Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manoel Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Taim's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Martins came free, but Adilson Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almir Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Estrela Vermelha's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Filipe Cordeiro 26 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. When Nuno Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taim's protests and gave Nuno Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. Nuno Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Nuno Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manoel Salgado to make the kick off. When Manfredo Leite came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Estrela Vermelha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manfredo Leite couldn't finish the play. The attack was good, but when Manoel Salgado in the 53rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Manoel Salgado took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adilson Vale. Adilson Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Mendes in the 63rd minute of play forced Estrela Vermelha's goalkeeper William Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filipe Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. William Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taim. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Taim's goalkeeper Adilson Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With 77 minutes on the clock, Joélson Silveira commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Estrela Vermelha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Taim:s goal. The excitement rose when Taim's Jonas Munhoz after 80 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Estrela Vermelha's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manoel Salgado got free with Adilson Vale in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Manoel Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Estrela Vermelha's Guto de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
