The supporters of Piacaba booed when Sport Club Trindade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrézinho Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olívio Ramalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play.

After recieving a nice pass, Sport Club Trindade's Betão Sanches tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Andrézinho Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
