He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guary SS reached it. 27 minutes into the match, Guary SS's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Vale came free, but André Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Leonardo Vale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Purma EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Basílio Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Vale in the 42nd minute of the match. If Tiago Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Purma EC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wellington da Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Guary SS's Tiago Pinheiro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guga França was left in no man's land by his defense there! 58 minutes into the match, Purma EC's Leonardo Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Urbano narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
