The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luan Hoffmann during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cariry's Luan Hoffmann got a free kick in the 5th minute. Raimundo Mandrak charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raimundo Mandrak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tigre AD booed when Cariry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17thth minute of the game Doni Alvarenga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cariry's Hermínio Massa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hermínio Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Hermínio Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tigre AD's Doni Alvarenga in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cariry's goalie prevented a goal. Hermínio Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toninho da Costa in the 31st minute of the match. Zézinho Leão struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Eugênio Pereira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cariry. Hermínio Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doni Alvarenga in the 43rd minute of the match. Raimundo Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Tigre AD were awarded a corner. Alexandre Netto went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Tigre AD's corner Alexandre Netto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hermínio Massa quite easily take care of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doni Alvarenga to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Alvarenga in the 51st minute of play forced Cariry's goalkeeper Hermínio Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 52 minutes, Zézinho Leão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cariry and the Tigre AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zézinho Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Toninho da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Massa having to interfere. Hermínio Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Hermínio Massa came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Tigre AD's Doni Alvarenga. But to his dismay, Doni Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Toninho da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zézinho Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Eugênio Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doni Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doni Alvarenga in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermínio Massa saved Cariry from getting behind. The Cariry fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermínio Massa should have stopped the shot. If Doni Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cariry's Hermínio Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Alvarenga in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Alvarenga in the 95th minute of play forced Cariry's goalkeeper Hermínio Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tigre AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
