Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zé Paraíba got the match started through his kick off. When Emanuel Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Espinhos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Gaspar couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, Kiko Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Queiroz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Emanuel Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espinhos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betinho Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hélder Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cléber Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Cléber Vale made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Kiko Santana sent off a good shot on target. If Kiko Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Espinhos FC's Cléber Vale got control of the ball when Kiko Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emanuel Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Queiroz having to interfere. Hélder Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Vale having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Emanuel Gaspar made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Tiaraju EC's Betinho Queiroz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hélder Tasso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Kiko Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélder Furtado charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hélder Furtado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th minute, Hélder Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kiko Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 played minutes, Tiaraju EC's Enrique Leite shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cléber Vale came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tiaraju EC reached it. In the 74th minute, Espinhos FC's Emanuel Gaspar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Betinho Queiroz. Betinho Queiroz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Zé Paraíba might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Betinho Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Paraíba ran back to his position shaking his head. Cléber Vale came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Tiaraju EC's Hélder Tasso. But to his dismay, Hélder Tasso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Emanuel Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Betinho Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espinhos FC. Espinhos FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
