Haroldo de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Gaspar in the 6th minute of the match. When Zé Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Espinhos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Paraíba couldn't finish the play. When Osvaldo Matos fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored THE EXPENDABLES FC's protests and gave Osvaldo Matos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, THE EXPENDABLES FC's Osvaldo Matos got a free kick in the 10th minute. The supporters of Espinhos FC booed when THE EXPENDABLES FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo de Souza having to interfere. If Zé Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Emanuel Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Anderson Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the THE EXPENDABLES FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Nascimento couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Espinhos FC's Emanuel Gaspar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haroldo de Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, THE EXPENDABLES FC's Haroldo de Souza got control of the ball when Jonas Pontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Espinhos FC's Emanuel Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Anderson Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. THE EXPENDABLES FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anderson Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cléber Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute Zé Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anderson Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Vale having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Anderson Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to THE EXPENDABLES FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Fabinho Souza hit a great ball. If Emanuel Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Haroldo de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, THE EXPENDABLES FC's Cléber Vale threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anderson Nascimento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Espinhos FC's Cléber Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Nascimento in the 85th minute of play. Jonas Pontes charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Pontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
