Nestor Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr Favoretto having to interfere. When Erasmo Tande fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cervo SC's protests and gave Erasmo Tande a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 11 minutes, Gino Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cervo SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino Tasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th match minute, Cervo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Jean Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Sandrinho de Godoi struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Jean Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cervo SC. The crowd rose to their feet as Cervo SC's Gino Tasso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jean Oliveira. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. Vitório Pereira struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Walmyr Favoretto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ginga FC. 2-0 became the score in the 26th minute when Sandrinho de Godoi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Tião Campidelis fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ginga FC's protests and gave Tião Campidelis a yellow card for diving instead. Tião Campidelis hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Ginga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Tasso came free, but Jean Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitório Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walmyr Favoretto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Gino Tasso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jean Oliveira, 3-0. The supporters of Cervo SC booed when Ginga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrício de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gino Tasso made a kick off. Jean Oliveira came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cervo SC's Sandrinho de Godoi. But to his dismay, Sandrinho de Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 58th minute, Gino Tasso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ginga FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Tião Campidelis hit a great ball. Jean Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho de Godoi in the 62nd minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Sandrinho de Godoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Jean Oliveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patrício de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Gino Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Sandrinho de Godoi sped through Ginga FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jean Oliveira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Tasso in the 81st minute of play forced Ginga FC's goalkeeper Jean Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Gino Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ginga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jean Oliveira should have stopped the shot. Sandrinho de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Oliveira having to interfere. Sandrinho de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jean Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cervo SC had played much better football throughout.
