After 3 played minutes Alvino got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Terra. The audience was convinced that Augusto de Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Messias was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Sofia SS's Enio Godoi got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute of the match, Adrianinho Terra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carlos Messias saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Maurinho Tande fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvino's protests and gave Maurinho Tande a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Alvino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Tande to maneuver through the defense. Sofia SS's Carlos Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho Terra in the 19th minute of play. Elói Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Cesinha Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto de Godois short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Carlos Messias to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 24th match minute, Sofia SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Lima to maneuver through the defense. After 25 played minutes, Alvino's Arthur Pirani shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Messias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alvino reached it. If Adrianinho Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrianinho Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Carlos Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto de Godoi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Carlos Messias when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Augusto de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianinho Terra in the 38th minute of play. Sofia SS's Carlos Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho Terra in the 43rd minute of play. Adrianinho Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elói Mazza to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Adrianinho Terra notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Sofia SS's Carlos Messias. Carlos Messias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlos Messias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Falcão de Amaral went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 67 minutes into the game, one of Alvino:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cesinha Carneiro went to the wrong direction when Tiaguinho Vaz was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Cesinha Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Sofia SS's zone, Augusto de Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Messias came out of the goal and Augusto de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Paulo Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Terra in the 79th minute of play forced Sofia SS's goalkeeper Carlos Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrianinho Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 86th match minute, Sofia SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Lima to maneuver through the defense. Augusto de Godoi took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Messias. Carlos Messias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Alvino's Adrianinho Terra in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sofia SS's goalie prevented a goal. Carlos Messias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrianinho Terra went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Alvino fully deserved thier win.
