Luís Fábio Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Esteves in the 21st minute of play. Gallinhos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leandro Mazza in the 22nd minute. Luís Fábio Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Zonta in the 24th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Manuel Zonta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Luís Fábio Varela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute, Manuel Zonta made a precise shot to the right of Luís Fábio Varela. Cedro Futbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Luís Fábio Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Zonta in the 42nd minute of play forced Cedro Futbol Club's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Gallinhos were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruy Varela made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cedro Futbol Club's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Varela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gláuber Esteves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Luís Fábio Varela made a huge save. After having played for 58 minutes, Manuel Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gallinhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Zonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gláuber Esteves took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Fábio Varela. Luís Fábio Varela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Duarte Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Zonta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luís Fábio Varela came out and tried to block the shot, but Manuel Zonta slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 66th minute. When Duarte Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Gallinhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duarte Cerezo couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Artur Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Manuel Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gallinhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Zonta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fábio Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Manuel Zonta notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Cedro Futbol Club's Luís Fábio Varela. Luís Fábio Varela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Duarte Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Fábio Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Tomé Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cedro Futbol Club's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Varela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manuel Zonta was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Gallinhos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Gallinhos's Remo Palmeira got a free kick in the 94th minute.
