When Romário Meira fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Codozinho AD's protests and gave Romário Meira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Codozinho AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário Meira to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Dorival Queirós's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederico Galvão was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruque SC's goalkeeper Dé Araújo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Uruque SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when André Luís Favoretto scored to the left of an out of position Dé Araújo, making the score, 1-0. Conrado Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Dé Araújo made a huge save. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uruque SC! The referee gave Codozinho AD a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Aníbal Loureiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Uruque SC's Dé Araújo. 2-0. After having played for 22 minutes, Rogério Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruque SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Conrado Figueiredos short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Dé Araújo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Uruque SC's Daniel Ramalho in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Codozinho AD's goalie prevented a goal. Frederico Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Daniel Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute Daniel Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rogério Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Conrado Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Dé Araújo. Uruque SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Ramalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nilton Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Galvão having to interfere. Daniel Ramalhos short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Frederico Galvão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Daniel Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Uruque SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Ramalho couldn't finish the play. Jerônimo Mineiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederico Galvão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After 74 minutes, Daniel Ramalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruque SC and the Codozinho AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Codozinho AD booed when Uruque SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Daniel Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Codozinho AD's Conrado Figueiredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dé Araújo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. If Conrado Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jerônimo Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Frederico Galvão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruque SC. Frederico Galvão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Ramalho in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Codozinho AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruque SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
