Marcinho Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Dionísio Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Iepe's zone, Leonel Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Schmidt came out of the goal and Leonel Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeu Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremias Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremias Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Schmidt having to interfere. Marcinho Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Dionísio Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Luizburgo got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fabiano Leal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremias Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremias Mendes in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Schmidt saved Iepe from getting behind. 73 minutes into the match, Iepe's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Mendes came free, but Amadeu Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Valadares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Amadeu Schmidt made a huge save. 76 minutes into the game, César Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iepe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luizburgo the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Iepe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Leonel Valadares in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amadeu Schmidt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Amadeu Schmidt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Iepe succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Luizburgo had controlled the match.
