Válbson Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Baptista in the 6th minute of the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Almir Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. União Campograndense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Almir Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Dias got free with Válbson Rezende in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válbson Rezende having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as União Campograndense's José Dias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Válbson Rezende. That made the score 1-0 after 35 minutes of play. If José Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Maria Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ricardinho Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Matheus Souza made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 61 minutes, José Maria Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bandeirante's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Maria Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Maria Antunes came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ricardinho Quirino could save by the left post. Matheus Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ricardinho Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardinho Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When José Maria Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Bandeirante fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Maria Antunes couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the game, União Campograndense's Waldir Baptista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Válbson Rezende made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 76 minutes in the game, Matheus Souza fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ricardinho Quirino having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, José Maria Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandeirante's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardinho Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute, José Maria Antunes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardinho Quirino was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 86th minute of the match Almir Leal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Válbson Rezende showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, José Dias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The União Campograndense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. José Maria Antunes's late challenge caught a União Campograndense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Maria Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bandeirante getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. José Maria Antunes hit a great ball. Válbson Rezende stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Dias's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Ricardinho Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matheus Souza in the 94th minute of the match. União Campograndense's Ricardinho Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Souza in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The União Campograndense fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bandeirante had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
