The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Severinia FC's Juvenal Medeiros got a free kick in the 8th minute. Mané Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Kauã Penha hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Juvenal Medeiros made a precise shot to the right of Mané Costa. Dobrada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Ricardinho Nunes struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Mané Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Severinia FC. Dé Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubens Negri in the 31st minute. Dobrada's Mané Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Medeiros in the 34th minute of play. Ricardinho Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Costa having to interfere. Dé Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Mumbach in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes in the game, Rubens Negri fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dé Toledo having to interfere. Dé Toledo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro Luís Mumbach showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 47 minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juvenal Medeiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Ricardinho Nunes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rubens Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Luís Mumbach in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé Toledo saved Severinia FC from getting behind. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Severinia FC's goalkeeper Dé Toledo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Severinia FC's Ricardinho Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dobrada's Mané Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Medeiros in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Rubens Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dobrada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubens Negri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mané Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juvenal Medeiros in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Luiz Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Mumbach in the 89th minute of play forced Severinia FC's goalkeeper Dé Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Luís Mumbach struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Dé Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dobrada. When Júlio Matorin fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Severinia FC's protests and gave Júlio Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Severinia FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Júlio Matorin hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Dobrada's Claudinei Recife tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Júlio Matorin was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Júlio Matorin hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. If Pedro Luís Mumbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
