Tomarutema EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nildo Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Guga Penha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valério Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eusébio Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 played minutes Tomarutema EC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel de Lara. Valério Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guga Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel de Lara lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tomarutema EC! Orlando Souza placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out!

After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Eusébio Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapaoa's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Arósio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valério Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Tomarutema EC's zone, Guga Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valério Dias came out of the goal and Guga Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Eusébio Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itapaoa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Arósio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Itapaoa could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tomarutema EC throughout the match.
