Patrick Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido Pires in the 36th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre de Lara during the 39th minute. In the 45th minute, Franklin das Neves made a precise shot to the right of Cipriano Perez. AZ Falcons's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After having played for 91 minutes, Cido Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AZ Falcons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
