Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Agnaldo Saldanha kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Os Galáticos's goalkeeper Alex de Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frederico Pontes. Eurico Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo Saldanha in the 4th minute of play. Eurico Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agnaldo Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agnaldo Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 14 minutes into the game, Os Galáticos's Abelardo Pimenta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eurico Meirelles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Abelardo Pimenta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eurico Meirelles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Sancho Panza getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Arnaldo da Costa hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Sancho Panza's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Pimenta came free, but Eurico Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex de Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frederico Pontes in the 29th minute. Os Galáticos's Alex de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frédson Recife in the 30th minute of play. Os Galáticos's Agnaldo Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 38 minutes, Abelardo Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Os Galáticos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Armandinho Arantes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Eurico Meirelles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Frédson Recife made the kick off in the second half. If Abelardo Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Armandinho Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armandinho Arantes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Os Galáticos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Os Galáticos's Armandinho Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abelardo Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Agnaldo Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armandinho Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Eurico Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Frederico Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armandinho Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Eurico Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eurico Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo Saldanha in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sancho Panza's zone, Agnaldo Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eurico Meirelles came out of the goal and Agnaldo Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Os Galáticos's Alex de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Pontes in the 82nd minute of play. Eurico Meirelles made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Abelardo Pimenta sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute, Armandinho Arantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abelardo Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Meirelles having to interfere. Os Galáticos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
