Rafinha Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafinha Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 17th minute, Leandro Bueno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sumauna SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Baixo FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafinha Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. If Lenílson Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cacá Quintal to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Lenílson Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baixo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lenílson Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sumauna SS's goalkeeper Rafinha Couto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 59 minutes, Leandro Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Baixo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! 81 minutes into the game, Adhemar Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 85thth minute of the game Mathias Tande who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sumauna SS's Rafinha Couto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute of the match Marcus Sena shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafinha Couto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Sumauna SS booed when Baixo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Baixo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá Quintal came free, but Roberto de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cacá Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Sumauna SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sumauna SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
