Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Evandro Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Prestes having to interfere. Evandro Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 11 minutes, Jonas de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo Futebol Regatas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas de Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Erasmo Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joanico's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evandro Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wiliam Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Jonas de Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiliam Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Jonas de Lima made a precise shot to the right of Wiliam Prestes. Joanico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Wiliam Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Brito in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Nóbrega. Edgar Nóbrega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 38th minute, Eugênio Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 53 played minutes Botafogo Futebol Regatas got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Mazza. Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Edgar Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Botafogo Futebol Regatas's Edgar Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of Botafogo Futebol Regatas booed when Joanico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Leonel de Godoi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wiliam Prestes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Evandro Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wiliam Prestes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evandro Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot by Elói Vieira from long distance, 70 minutes into the match, got Wiliam Prestes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jonas de Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wiliam Prestes having to make a save. Eugênio Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugênio Abreu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Eugênio Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas de Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wiliam Prestes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonas de Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Paranaense in the 80th minute of play forced Botafogo Futebol Regatas's goalkeeper Edgar Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Joanico's Wiliam Prestes got control of the ball when Jonas de Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. Botafogo Futebol Regatas's Edgar Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Joanico's goalkeeper Wiliam Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonas de Lima. Edgar Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento in the 94th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
