Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 11 minutes into the game, Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roberto de Lara. Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Tande in the 17th minute of play forced Joanico's goalkeeper Wiliam Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathias Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Wiliam Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugênio Abreu hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Marquinhos Cabral from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Roberto de Lara's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Joanico getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Luís Fernando Dracena hit a great ball. After 35 played minutes, Baixo FC's Régis Pombal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wiliam Prestes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Baixo FC reached it. Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Roberto de Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joanico. Lenílson Quintal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wiliam Prestes having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathias Tande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Joanico's Marquinhos Cabral got a free kick in the 51st minute. Lenílson Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Prestes having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roberto de Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Júlio Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Joanico's Luís Fernando Dracena in action when he in the 65th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Roberto de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Paranaense in the 68th minute of play. Lenílson Quintal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Wiliam Prestes made a huge save. In the 95th minute, one of Baixo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Baixo FC. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Joanico. Luís Fernando Dracena stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Roberto de Lara. 2-0. Baixo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
