Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cícero de Brito took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Mário Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Vaz in the 7th minute of play forced Rocha FC's goalkeeper Dinei Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero de Brito in the 10th minute of play forced Ipigua's goalkeeper Erivaldo Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Barros in the 12th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ipigua's Erivaldo Maciel got control of the ball when Jefferson Donato tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19thth minute of the game Gino Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rocha FC's Dinei Paraibano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cícero de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Erivaldo Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dinei Paraibano came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ipigua's Mário Rosado. But to his dismay, Mário Rosado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 37 played minutes, Ipigua's Raphael Severo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dinei Paraibano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ipigua reached it. After having played for 44 minutes, Mário Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipigua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mário Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Gino Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipigua's supporters rose to their feet, but Gino Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Rocha FC's Luís Guilherme Lara got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Ipigua were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to Rocha FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Álvaro Zanette hit a great ball. The supporters of Rocha FC booed when Ipigua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erivaldo Maciel came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Rocha FC's Cícero de Brito. But to his dismay, Cícero de Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dinei Paraibano was a little too slow when Naldo Vaz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-2. Gino Barros's late challenge caught a Rocha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gino Barros helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ipigua's Gino Barros got a free kick in the 78th minute. Mário Rosado's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dinei Paraibano firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 89th match minute, Ipigua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gino Barros to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Rocha FC's Dinei Paraibano got control of the ball when Mário Rosado tried to sneak it across the goal line.
