A wasted opportunity for Xanxerê Futebol Clube. 13 minutes into the match, Xanxerê Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Branco came free, but Gilberto Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kmex Csersona's zone, Eliézer Paraense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Alvarenga came out of the goal and Eliézer Paraense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th match minute, Kmex Csersona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Vaz to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Maia got free with William Alvarenga in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manoel Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gilberto Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Lenílson Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilberto Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manoel Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute, Eliézer Paraense fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of William Alvarenga, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Kmex Csersona getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Kléberson Vaz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Branco in the 40th minute of play forced Xanxerê Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Gilberto Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Xanxerê Futebol Clube's Horácio Moreno got a free kick in the 46th minute. Manoel Mangueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Mangueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliézer Paraense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lenílson Massa took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilberto Mangueira. Gilberto Mangueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. João Gordo hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Xanxerê Futebol Clube's Gilberto Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manoel Mangueira in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Xanxerê Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. Kmex Csersona's Manoel Mangueira got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Manoel Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedê Arósio charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dedê Arósio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilvan Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gilberto Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Xanxerê Futebol Clube's Gilberto Mangueira got control of the ball when Edmundo Branco tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Xanxerê Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Dedê Arósio hit a great ball. Gilberto Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manoel Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eliézer Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Lenílson Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Gilberto Mangueira made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 97th minute by Edmundo Branco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Xanxerê Futebol Clube supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kmex Csersona's performance. The match ended with a win for Kmex Csersona.
