The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rafael Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Flávio Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Camatei SS got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Amaral. In the 26th match minute, Camatei SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaltino de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Arthur Messias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvinho da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Dudu Paulista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raí Batista having to make a save. Raí Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serginho Vidal in the 45th minute of the match. The Canavani FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Camatei SS were winning 0-1.

In the 52nd minute, Dudu Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Camatei SS's Raí Batista threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Serginho Vidal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 53rd minute, Serginho Vidal made a precise shot to the right of Raí Batista. Canavani FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 0-3 became the score in the 57th minute when Serginho Vidal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Elano Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dudu Paulista got free with Raí Batista in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dudu Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Raí Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdomiro Lima during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rafael Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Montenegro having to interfere.
