The referee showed Ricardo Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes Atauba EC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Teixeira. In the 27th minute Noel Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Noel Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, Emanuel Mazza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atauba EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Efigenia the free kick. After 32 played minutes Atauba EC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Mazza. José Paulo Furtado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrézinho de Castro in the 39th minute. Andrézinho de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeu Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Lira in the 43rd minute of play. Noel Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Romeu Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 62nd minute, Elói Fantini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Noel Lira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Romeu Toledo. Noel Lira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. If Elói Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute Noel Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Beto Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Lira in the 80th minute of play forced Atauba EC's goalkeeper Romeu Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeu Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Lira in the 83rd minute of play. Noel Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Valdemar Veloso struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Romeu Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Efigenia. 90 minutes into the match, Atauba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Lira came free, but Romeu Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Efigenia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beto Gerber to maneuver through the defense.
