Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nestor Ribeiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Fiori Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fellipe Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fellipe Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jorge Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Maurinho Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Rezende was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Délio França. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Sport Dornelas. Benê Cabral stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jorge Barbosa. 0-1. Maurinho Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jorge Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Maurinho Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fellipe Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Barbosa having to interfere. Narino's Jorge Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Amorim in the 28th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Reinaldo Damião put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sport Dornelas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Giovanni da Cunha shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 36 minutes into the match, Narino's goal looked a bit too open when Celsinho Paulista came free, but Jorge Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sport Dornelas's Maurinho Amorim in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Narino's goalie prevented a goal. Fred Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 minutes, Délio França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Narino and the Sport Dornelas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Délio França kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Maurinho Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Barbosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurinho Amorim was the one to do the kick off. Nestor Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fred Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Francisco Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Narino. In the 66th minute, Nestor Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Maurinho Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Mauro Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Sport Dornelas defense, Nestor Ribeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Rezende. The Sport Dornelas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Rezende should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Sport Dornelas booed when Narino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benê Cabral was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Sport Dornelas's Maurinho Amorim in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Narino's goalie prevented a goal. Sport Dornelas's Francisco Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Ribeiro in the 83rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nestor Ribeiro in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Rezende saved Sport Dornelas from getting behind. Fred Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Francisco Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sport Dornelas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
