Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Duda Medeiros made the kick off and thus started the match. Durval Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionísio Valle having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Durval Martins recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dionísio Valle. Durval Martins showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Dionísio Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Acarai EC's zone, Américo Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Carlos Brasil came out of the goal and Américo Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adalberto Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adalberto Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Calmom booed when Acarai EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Américo Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Pedro Paulo Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agenor de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Durval Martins in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dionísio Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, one of Calmom:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Calmom. In the 30th minute, Duda Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd match minute, Calmom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. Durval Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionísio Valle having to interfere. Pedro Paulo Carioca was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Acarai EC's Pedro Paulo Carioca got a free kick in the 42nd minute. João Carlos Brasil came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Calmom's Américo Teixeira. But to his dismay, Américo Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agenor de Senna made a kick off. Américo Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. João Carlos Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Agenor de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adalberto Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionísio Valle having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Adalberto Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Agenor de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carlos Brasil having to interfere. After some careless play in the Calmom defense, Agenor de Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dionísio Valle. The Calmom fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dionísio Valle should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Adalberto Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acarai EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalberto Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dionísio Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Acarai EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
